The COVID-19 vaccines are now widely available to most adult Americans over the age of 16. Now that most employers have returned to work either on-site, remotely, or a combination of on-site and remote work, many are now wresting with the decision of whether to require that all employees be vaccinated or merely encouraged to do so, and how to go about initiating that process. Another important part of thinking through these new policies is understanding the circumstances under which employers must accommodate an employee’s medical condition or religious beliefs in the event employees need an exemption/accommodation from a required vaccine.

Schwartz Rollins has begun drafting the following sample policies and requests for accommodations that we can tailor to your business:

  • Mandatory Vaccination Policy
  • Non-Mandatory Vaccination Policy
  • Accommodation Procedure for COVID-19 Vaccine
  • Request for Medical Exemption Accommodation Related to COVID
  • Request for Religious Exemption Accommodation Related to COVID
